Remember, the tape recorder playing the song was hooked up directly to the audio input of the videocamera. The cameraman had headphones on so he could hear the song -- however, Kurt and Shay, strolling down the street, could not hear the song as it was playing, and therefore found it a bit of a challenge to lip synch!
